MEDIA / Blog / Dubai Is One Of The Least Expensive Places For Renting Office Space
The Knight Frank’s Skyscraper Index looks at the rental performance of commercial buildings (over 30 stories high), across the world and ranks major cities based on the average annual office premium rent. The Index has recently released data for the second half of 2015, and lists Dubai at the bottom of the list, ranking 18th out of 21 cities.

Hong Kong, followed by Manhattan, Tokyo and San Francisco are the top five. According to the index, the annual cost of renting a place in a skyscraper at a high-end location in Dubai costs around US$43.50 per square foot, about US$65,250 per year. The amount is only about a quarter of the average annual office rent in Hong Kong.

Office rents in Dubai’s central locations, particularly in the Central Business District and prime areas have been steady during the first three months of the year, and, according to JLL consultancy firm, there is strong demand for properties in premium locations.
